Russell T. Wheeler

YARMOUTH – Russell T. Wheeler, 64, of Yarmouth, formerly of Livermore Falls, passed away Friday, May 10, 2024, at Brentwood Rehab and Nursing Home in Yarmouth. He was born April 2, 1960, in Lewiston, the son of William R. Wheeler and Joanne M. (Robbins) Wheeler. He was a 1978 graduate of Livermore Falls High School and received his bachelor’s degree in culinary arts from Johnson and Wales University in Rhode Island. Through the years he worked as a chef at Chuck Wagon in Livermore Falls, Mad Momma’s in Jay, St. Mary’s Hospital in Lewiston, Sweet Chilli Thai in Augusta and had been working at Irving’s in Manchester before he suffered a stroke in 2018 that left him disabled. In his younger years he enjoyed camping with his family, but his favorite thing to do was to cook, he will be remembered for his fantastic pastries and cakes. He is survived by his brother, Ronald Hedley Wheeler, several nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. He was predeceased by his parents, and his sister, Rhonda Doiron.
