The GEAR Parent Network is set to offer a no-cost online workshop, “Understanding Child Birth Order,” from 6-8 p.m. Monday, July 8.

This session is designed to help parents, caregivers and professionals understand the dynamics of birth order and its impact on child development and family interactions, according to a news release from the parent network.

During this workshop, participants can explore how a child’s position in the family can influence their personality, behavior and relationships. The session will cover the following key topics:

• The Role of Birth Order in Personality Development: Understanding how firstborns, middle children, last-borns and only children typically differ in traits and behaviors.

• Influence on Family Dynamics: Analyzing how birth order can affect sibling relationships, parental expectations and family roles.

• Practical Strategies for Parents and Caregivers: Providing tips and techniques to support each child’s unique needs and foster a harmonious family environment.

Shannan King, a nationally certified family support specialist and regional family support coordinator, plans to lead the workshop.
