The Trinity Commons Wind Group will present a concert at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 28, at the Trinity Commons in Lewiston. The group will be joined by Mainely Flutes, a flute choir from central Maine.
The Trinity Wind Group will play a Serenade for Ten Winds, a very lively piece written in four movements, by American composer Arthur Bird. Bird lived in the late 1800’s and, although he was born in Massachusetts, lived much of his life in Germany where he composed most of his works.
Mainely Flutes will play a variety of pieces including a Celtic medley, a rhumba, The Pink Panther theme and Claire de Lune by Claude Debussy.
This will be a free concert, although donations will be accepted. Trinity Commons is located at 247 Bates St., Lewiston.
