BRIDGTON — Approaching a transformative year for the Bridgton Food Pantry, Norway Savings Bank representatives presented food pantry leadership with a surprise $1,000 donation last week (picture, caption below). The pantry is currently located in the former United Methodist Church with plans to move into a new building at 498 Main Street during 2025.
The Bridgton Food Pantry helps nearly 300 families each week, efforts that inspired a $20,000 donation from Norway Savings in early 2024. NSB customers are also moved by its impact as the food pantry was the #1 vote-getter to receive an additional charitable donation from NSB during the Bridgton branch’s 55th anniversary celebration in August.
The Bridgton Food Pantry is open on Tuesdays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Individuals of all ages in need are welcome at the food pantry. It is always in need of volunteers, financial donations, and other support, particularly in this time of transition.
