NORWAY — Get ready for an evening filled with food, dance, and community spirit! Alan Day Community Garden, Fare Share Food Coop, Lights Out Gallery, Norway Brewing Company, and Western Foothills Land Trust have come together to host the second annual Norway Community Dinner and Dance on Friday, Feb. 14, from 4-8 p.m. at the Norway Grange.
This gathering is not only a celebration of people and connections, but also a tribute to the late Mellie Dunham, a cherished native Norway fiddle player and snowshoe maker. The dinner and dance will take place on the eve of the 15th Annual Norway Maine Snowshoe Festival, kicking off an exciting weekend celebration of Norway’s rich history of snowshoe manufacturing and music.
The evening will begin with a delightful community supper from 4-6 p.m., offering two seatings, at 4 and 6 p.m. Enjoy delicious local fare showcasing the harmony of our local food purveyors and the culinary expertise of our community partners. As the second seating begins, those interested will move upstairs for a lively Contra Dance from 6-8 p.m. The event will showcase the talented calling of Bill Olsen and Pamela Weeks, ensuring a night of fun and traditional dancing.
Tickets are limited to 150 for both dinner seatings, with last year’s event selling out over a week in advance! Purchase your tickets online today at www.wfltmaine.org/snowshoe-festival.
