SWEDEN — Residents will vote on the proposed $1.08 million municipal budget at Saturday’s annual town meeting.
The meeting will begin at 9 a.m. at the Town Meeting House. Voters will consider 41 articles on the warrant, along with elections for several board and committee positions.
Select Board Chairman Chris Chadbourne’s three-year term is expiring and he is expected to run for reelection. Maine School Administrative District 72 board member Kathi Shorey is also up for reelection.
Additionally, voters will elect four Board of Appeals members and two alternates, and two Planning Board members and two alternates.
A total of $329,445 is allocated for snow removal and sanding.
The Select Board and Budget Committee have agreed to allocate $162,000 for the capital improvement reserve account for roads, while the Road Advisory Committee has recommended $400,000.
