Rumford firefighters responded to a report of a gas odor at 341 Waldo St. late Monday morning. Two people who live in one of the apartments of the six-apartment complex were evaluated by Medcare Ambulance Service, said Director Dean Milligan. Rumford Fire Chief Bob Chase said nothing was found that would have caused the odor. A portion of Waldo Street for closed for about a half-hour by the Rumford Police Department. Eight firefighters and two engines responded to the call. The building is owned by John Robichaud.
