The Auburn Fire Department responded to a fire reported at a single-family home at 78 Coachman Ave. at 8:05 a.m. Wednesday, officials said. All four occupants made it out safely though one was evaluated for smoke inhalation and one cat was reported missing. Auburn fire crews were on scene within minutes and were followed by mutual aid from Lewiston shortly after. Crews were able to contain the fire to a back bedroom. The second floor sustained smoke damage and the first floor has water damage. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. Daryn Slover/Sun Journal
