LEWISTON — L/A Arts’ Gallery 5 will host Pecha Kucha Night from 6:20 to 8:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 12.

During Pecha Kucha, which means chatter in Japanese, presenters each show 20 images for 20 seconds each. That’s six minutes and 40 seconds to share an idea, project, artwork or some other display of creativity.

This month’s presenters are Dan Marquis, creativity in the sign business; Sheri Blumenthal, painter of Lewiston neighborhoods; John Henderson, hometown history; Odelle Bowman, new season for L/A Arts; Tanya Hollander, Facebook portrait project; Kimberly Jacques, winner of the Lewiston-Auburn Economic Growth Council’s young entrepreneur contest; Tighe James Smiley, wood craftsman; Susan James, The Vault and wine tasting; and Kelly LaCroix, LIV Geiger partnership with Olivia Newton John.

The evening will begin with informal networking and chit-chat at 6 p.m. in the gallery at 49 Lisbon St. Presentations begin at 6:20 p.m. A $5 donation is appreciated.
