AUBURN — A Lewiston woman was charged this week in the stabbing of another woman who said she also was robbed.

An Androscoggin County grand jury indicted Karie Ann Lessard, 31, Tuesday on charges of aggravated assault, robbery and burglary, each count a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison.
She also is charged with violation of condition of release, a misdemeanor.
Police said after they were called to 35 Sylvan Ave. in Lewiston on June 1, they found Hollie Skolfield, 36, with a stab wound and other injuries.
Skolfield told investigators she had been assaulted by Lessard, who had broken into the house and assaulted Skolfield while also stealing property.
Police said the attack reportedly ended when a third person arrived at the home and fended off the attacker.
Skolfield was treated for her injuries at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.
Police said they located Lessard a block from the house where Skolfield had been attacked and arrested her.
Lessard is being held at Androscoggin County Jail without bail.
