FARMINGTON — Police handled a variety of calls over the Labor Day weekend, including assaults but one reported incident was unusual, Farmington Police Chief Jack Peck said.

Police were called to an apartment building at 176 Farmington Falls Road at 1:40 p.m. Sunday when occupants reported someone had smashed the windshields of four vehicles parked next to each other, he said.

There was a party at the house on Saturday night, he said. The incident was not reported till Sunday afternoon.

Apparently nothing was taken from the vehicles and nothing was left at the scene to indicate how the damage was done or why, he said. Nobody called at the time the windows were smashed.

Police are investigating the incident. Anyone with any information is asked to call them at 778-6311.
