PARIS — Sen. Olympia Snowe’s Washington, D.C., staff from the U.S. Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship will be participating in a roundtable to discuss issues affecting the region’s small businesses on Sept. 28 from 8 to 9 a.m. at the Western Maine University and Community College Center, 232 Main St., Paris.
The committee staff will make brief introductory remarks, then the floor will be open for attendees to ask questions and provide thoughts and insights concerning their businesses, the state of the economy and other relevant matters. There is no set agenda, and attendees may question the staff on issues as wide ranging as access to credit, tax policy, health care, government contracting and regulations, entrepreneurship, etc.
