The Canton Historical Society is set to hold a chili and chowder cook-off from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 6.

The fundraiser for the society will be held at its 25 Turner St. headquarters.

Local chefs will prepare their favorite chili or chowder for the contest. The public will sample and vote for the best in each category.

Admission will cost $5 for adults and $3 for children younger than 12, bread, beverages and dessert, as well as the chili and chowder are included in the cost.

The museum and gift shop will be open to the public during this event. Housed in the back of the recently restored 1897 Grange, the museum exhibits furniture, artifacts, photographs and documents related to Canton’s history.
