AUBURN — Power-punk trio JuiceheaD, which has taken its music cross country on the Misfits Records’ Fiend Fest tour and treks with surf-punk pioneers Agent Orange, will play Club Texas on Saturday, Oct. 15.
JuiceheaD will perform with The Misfits in support of its new album, “How to Sail A Sinking Ship,” slated for release via Misfits Records on Oct. 4.

Formed in late 2003, JuiceheaD forged from the ashes of several punk bands and fused into a union of skilled playing and songwriting. Guitarist and vocalist Rob Vannice, bassist Tommy Kloss and drummer Mike Garelli broke into their native Chicago’s punk scene with the release of their debut album, “The Devil Made Me Do It.”
“How to Sail a Sinking Ship,” produced by longtime Misfits & Ramones collaborator John Cafiero and recorded at Bennett Studios in New Jersey, melds old-school punk sensibilities with a contemporary vision and disorder. The 20-track CD offers hard, aggressive melodies and thought-provoking lyrics. It features the catchy single “Rotting from the Inside,” which debuted at No. 40 at Alternative Specialty Radio Charts with consistent spins on both college and commercial radio nationwide, and “Death of Democracy,” which is in rotation on Sirius XM’s Faction channel on a daily basis.
“How to Sail a Sinking Ship” also features guest appearances by celebrated cellist Melora Creager (Nirvana, Rasputina) on the punk-goth ballad “Black Roses” and The Punk Pipers (consisting of NYC Firefighters) adding a traditional bagpipe flavor to the melodic track “When I Fall From Grace.”
