Evan Beinecke, a Bates College student, walks a slack line on a warm Tuesday afternoon. Beinecke said he started line-walking about a year ago when a friend got him into it. “I have seen a great improvement in my balance and am more mindful of my movements,” Beinecke said. He said he plans to start a slack-line-walking club.
