There are two ways to use Western Maine Transportation Services: Catch one at a bus stop along its various routes or call to arrange a ride.

Service includes intown Bath, intown Brunswick, the BlueLine between Bath/Brunswick and Lewiston, the GreenLine between Farmington and Lewiston, a route between Farmington and Rangeley, a seasonal route to Sugarloaf, and services to Rumford, Norway, Paris and Oxford, and a service aimed at offering workforce transportation in the Lewiston-Auburn area requiring reservations called WorxLink.

GRAB A BUS

For a list of stops on various routes, go to the WMTS website at wmtsbus.org and click on “Transit Options” and search for the route and timetable. Once you find your route and times, make sure to get there a few minutes early.

HOW TO PAY

Some trips are free for certain ride categories. Most charge a modest amount based on distance. You can pay by cash — exact fare only — or use the system’s Token Transit app, which allows you to prepay online. For information on fares go to the website. For information on the app go to the WMTS website or the app.

The distance-based fares generally range from a dollar or two to $10 for a trip over 50 miles, with reduced fares for seniors, children and the disabled. Details on the website.

SCHEDULE A RIDE

Riders can also schedule a trip. Call (207) 784-9335 and select Option 1. This should connect you to Passenger Relations. They will ask you for some basic information and get details on your transportation needs, and be available for any questions you have.
