Patrol officers responded to 76 complaints from midnight Jan. 1 to midnight Jan. 9.

Arrests/summonses

Jan. 2 at 9:35 p.m. — Rodney Kneeland, 38, of Andover was arrested by Sgt. Douglas Maifeld on River Street on a charge of violation of a protection order. Kneeland posted $600 unsecured bail and is scheduled to appear in court on March 6.

Jan. 3 at 8:45 a.m. — Shawne Gardner, 37, of Rumford was arrested by Cpl. Donald Miller on Hartford Street on two warrants charging failure to pay fines out of Franklin County. Gardner was unable to post bail and was transported to the Oxford County Jail in Paris. Gardner was also charged with unlawful possession of a schedule Y drug. He is to appear in court on March 6 on the new charge.

Jan. 3 at 3:59 p.m. — Justin Frank, 31, of Rumford was charged by Capt. Daniel Garbarini on Congress Street with possession of marijuana.

Jan. 3 at 7:49 p.m. — Amy Touchette, 34, of Rumford was arrested by Sgt. Douglas Maifeld on River Street on a warrant charging failure to pay fines on a bail violation. Touchette posted $75 cash bail and was released.

Jan. 3 at 8:55 p.m. — Jacob Ortiz, 33, of Rumford was arrested by Sgt. Douglas Maifeld on Byron Street on a charge of domestic assault and violation conditions of release. Ortiz was unable to post bail and was transported to the Oxford County Jail is scheduled to appear in court on March 6.

Jan. 4 at 11:40 p.m. — A 17-year-old girl from Mexico was charged by Patrolman Brad Gallant on Hancock Street with operating without a license. She is scheduled to appear in court on March 6.

Jan. 5 at 12:40 a.m. — Anthony Rocray, 19, of Peru was charged by Patrolman Brad Gallant on Hancock Street with illegal possession of alcohol by a minor. Rocray is scheduled to appear in court on March 6.

Jan. 5 at 2:30 a.m. — Clifford Burns, 29, of Rumford was arrested by Patrolman Brad Gallant on Pine Street on a charge of domestic assault. Burns posted $1,000 unsecured bail and is scheduled to appear in court on March 6.

Jan. 5 at 11:30 a.m. — Christopher Sheldon, 27, of Bethel was arrested by Sgt. James Bernard in Bethel on a charge of sexual abuse of a minor and violation conditions of release. Sheldon was unable to post bail, was transported to the Oxford County Jail and is scheduled to appear in Oxford County Superior court on March 6.

Jan. 5 at 4:30 p.m. — Patrick Jackson, 35, of Rumford was arrested by Sgt. Tracey Higley on Hartford Street on a warrant charging failure to appear on a charge of receiving stolen property. Jackson was unable to post bail and was transported to the Oxford County Jail.

Jan. 5 at 10:24 p.m. — A 16-year-old boy from Rumford was charged by Patrolman Brad Gallant on Cumberland Street with illegal possession of alcohol by a juvenile. Juvenile is scheduled to appear in court on March 6.

Jan. 6 at 12:01 a.m. — Roland Norton, 27, of Victory, Vt., was arrested by Patrolman Brad Gallant on Bridge Street on a charge of operating after suspension. Norton was unable to post bail and transported to the Oxford County Jail. He is scheduled to appear in court on April 3.

Jan. 6 at 4:34 a.m. — Shannon Dolan, 29, of Rumford was arrested by Patrolman Brad Gallant on River Road in Mexico on a charge of assault. Dolan was unable to post bail and transported to the Oxford County Jail. He is scheduled to appear in court on March 6.

Jan. 6 at 3:39 p.m. — Robert Gallant, 57, of Peru was charged by Patrolman Joseph Sage on Route 108 with failure to report a crash by quickest means. Gallant is scheduled to appear in court on Apr.3.

Theft

Jan. 2 at 5:54 p.m. — Sgt. Douglas Maifeld is investigating the theft of $120 from a Byron Street residence.

Jan. 3 at 10:24 a.m. — Cpl. Donald Miller is investigating the theft of oil from a South Rumford Road residence.

Jan. 5 at 7:45 p.m. — Cpl. Lawrence Winson investigated the theft of services at a Waldo Street business. The cab fare was paid and no charges issued.

Jan. 6 at 3:26 p.m. — Patrolman Joseph Sage is investigating the theft of a package valued at $50 from a Franklin Street residence.

Wanted

Meghann Donahue, 22 and Russell Waugh, 28, both of Mexico, are wanted on Rumford District Court warrants. Donahue is wanted for failure to pay fines for operating after suspension and Waugh for attaching false plates. Waugh is also wanted on a Farmington District Court warrant for unpaid fines for a bad check.
