SOUTH PORTLAND — The Cancer Community Center has introduced its new Endurance Challenge as part of its second annual Cycle4Care fundraiser on Friday, Jan 27, at Zone 3 Fitness, 71 US Route 1 in Scarborough.

South Portland resident, Jennifer Nelson, and Portland resident, Nickie Avery, have both signed up to take on this challenge. As Endurance Challengers at Cycle4Care, both Nelson and Avery have committed to riding an indoor spin bike for three hours while raising funds to support the Cancer Community Center.

In addition to challenging themselves with a three-hour indoor bike ride, they are also challenging family and friends to join them for either a half-hour or hour at a time so they have encouragement and support throughout their ride.

The fundraiser will bring together people of all cycling abilities for a fun evening of exercise, inspiration and caring. All are welcome. There will be activities and child care so the entire family can come.

The event will run from 5 p.m. to midnight. Registration fees are $5 for students, $10 for a half-hour, $20 for an hour and $50 for the Endurance Challenge.

For more information, visit Cycle4Care.Kintera.org or call Jennifer at the Cancer Community Center at 774-2200.
