Class of 1954

MEXICO — Stephens High School class of 1954 will meet at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18, at Dick’s Restaurant. Members and guests welcome.

Chili, chowder

RUMFORD — Rumford Elks Lodge 862 will host a chili and chowder night from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 20.

Blue ribbon chili will be made by Dan Richard. Zac Cunningham will make seafood chowder. Corn bread, crackers and gingerbread will be included.

The cost for chili is $10 per bowl. Chowder will be $12 per bowl. Takeouts are available.

Empower workshop

RUMFORD — The Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope & Healing and Rumford Hospital will offer a free empowering workshop for anyone interested. Empower Yourself in the New Year will take place from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 26, at Rumford Hospital, Conference Room C.

Join presenter Dan Elliott, RN, and learn strategies to make you feel more energetic and engaged in life. Elliott works in Rumford Hospital’s Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation Department and has been in the nursing field for eight years.
