LEWISTON — A Memorial Mass of Christian burial honoring the life of Laurence S. Lessard was celebrated Saturday by Monsignor Marc Caron and assisted by Deacon Irenee Richard at the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul. During the Mass, Larry’s niece, Rochelle Clark, read the first reading. The Prayer of the Faithful at church was read by Larry’s nephew, Lynn Asselin. Offertory Gifts were brought to the altar by Larry’s nieces, Kim Gee and Rochelle Clark.

Following a procession to St. Peter’s Cemetery, Deacon Richard recited committal prayers. The Prayer of the Faithful at the cemetery was read by Larry’s nieces, Jennie Lwanyaga and Julie Levesque.Then Larry’s good friend, Ray Gamache, shared words of remembrance about the great times they both shared together as longtime friends. The urn bearers were Lynn Asselin, and Tyler, Hayley and Heather Gee. All in attendance were invited to a reception of fellowship at the Chick-A-Dee Restaurant in Lewiston.
