LEWISTON — Attorney Matthew P. Schafer of Brann & Isaacson, 184 Main St., earned special recognition from the CLE Committee of the Maine State Bar Association for his efforts to provide access to justice for Maine’s low-income citizens.

In appreciation for his pro bono work on behalf of the Maine Volunteer Lawyers Project, Schaefer was honored with the award for the “Attorney Contributing the Highest Number of Pro Bono Hours for Androscoggin County” at the Pro Bono Awards Luncheon on Jan. 26 at the Portland Marriot at Sable Oaks.
