PORTLAND, Maine (AP) — The mother of a toddler who went missing in December in Maine is working to keep attention focused on the youngster.
Trista Reynolds organized an event Saturday in Maine’s largest city to raise awareness about Ayla Reynolds, who disappeared from her father’s home in Waterville in December.
Police have ruled out the possibility that Ayla was abducted and have said they don’t expect to find her alive. But Reynolds still wants answers, and she wants to bring her daughter home.
Saturday’s event was dubbed, “Ayla’s Walk with Trista — A Benefit Walk for Ayla.” The path from Monument Square to Deering Oaks Park mirrored the walk that Reynolds and her daughter used to take before Ayla was placed in her father’s care and went missing. No one has been charged.
