AUBURN — The spectacular Christmas light show created by two Central Maine Medical Center doctors will not be shown this year.
A message on the “Auburn Lights” website Friday said Drs. Jamie Loggins and Stephen Bang would not have time this season to create the display. If that changes, the information will be posted at www.auburnlights.com.
But L.L. Bean in Freeport is offering a Christmas light show for the first time at Discovery Park. It will be shown every night at the top of every hour, from 5 to 10 p.m., from now through New Year’s Eve.
L.L. Bean spokeswoman Kathy Whitney said the company’s 60-foot tree was “completely lit.” Speakers in the tree will broadcast music. And lights adorn buildings and trees surrounding the park.
The light shows will last between five and 10 minutes and will be synchronized to music, Whitney said.
The last night of the show, on New Year’s Eve, will be celebrated with fireworks.
