Selectman Eda Tripp visited the Minot Consolidated School recently to gather nonperishable goods for Christmas baskets she prepared for Minot families facing hard times. Students, organized by staff members Sue Hussey and Judy Rowe, brought in about 500 food items. The staff, in lieu of exchanging presents with one another, brought in toys that they remember as favorites from when they were children. Tripp also added turkeys, canned hams and donated fruits and vegetables to the baskets. Tripp took the opportunity to thank students and staff for their assistance spreading Christmas cheer. Pictured with Tripp are, clockwise, sixth-grader Alyssa Gagne, first-grader Ayla Dyer and fourth-grader Thomas Suckow.
