A creeping socialism
This is in response to the story about Glenn Peterson, the man in Poland who could lose his barn to emiment domain proceedings in return for grossly unfair compensation.
His property is assessed at far more than the measly $3,290 the state wants him to accept. He should receive the town’s assessment value, at the very least; anything less would amount to common thievery on the part of state officials.
The whole deal smacks of totaliterianism at its worst. It is just more evidence of the creeping socialism pervading the United States today.
