WILTON — Wilton Free Public Library will hold its summer reading program kick-off event, The Element of Wonder magic show with Conjuring Carroll, at 6 p.m. Thursday, June 26, at Academy Hill School.

There is always an element of wonder within the pages of a book. Conjuring Carroll has designed his new summer reading magic show, Pop, Fizz, Boom Reading is Magic!

Encouraging patrons about the wonder and magic of reading is the purpose, as it’s a fundamental skill that lasts a lifetime. In this fantastic program you’ll see many magic tricks that have a science and mathematical basis to them.

As the current president for The Society of American Magicians, Carroll always likes to include the magic number 793.8, the Dewey decimal system location where all the magic books are found in the library. Information about some of the wonderful assets of a local library and the magic card called a library card will be shown to children present at the event.

Help kick off this year’s “Crazy Science” Summer Reading Program at the library.
