OLD ORCHARD BEACH – The wedding of Karen Lee and Daniel Viets was held on Oct. 18 at Old Orchard Beach. Pastor Mark Rockwood officiated at the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Carmen Fillmore of Lewiston and John Lee of Buckfield. The bridegroom is the son of David and Barbara Viets of Kingston, Tenn.
The bride wore a white strapless gown and carried a bouquet of pink roses and a mix of lilies in a presentational style.
Christina Frame, best friend of the bride since childhood and sister of the bridegroom, was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Lisa Fillmore, sister of the bride, and Avara Hebert, cousin of the bride.
Serving as best man was Jeff Frame, brother-in-law of the bridegroom. Ushers were Joe Lee, brother of the bride, and Mike Hebert, cousin of the bride.
A reception followed at the Brunswick at Old Orchard Beach. During the reception, Lisa Fillmore played a solo on her violin as the couple danced the first dance.
The couple traveled to St. Lucia for their honeymoon, a present from the parents of the bridegroom.
The bride is a 2002 graduate of Lewiston High School and a 2006 magna cum laude graduate of Mercyhurst College in Erie, Pa., with a bachelor’s degree and a major in dance and a concentration in choreography. She is currently employed as a dance teacher at the Chesapeake Dance Center in Chesapeake, Va. She is also a certified pilates’ instructor.
The bridegroom is a 2006 graduate of Kingston High School in Kingston, Tenn. He is currently proudly serving in the U.S. Navy in the special forces unit. They are stationed in Norfolk, Va.
