ORLANDO, Fla. – Catherine Lucy Strauss (Kitty), formerly of Norway and John Duncan Cameron Winship (Duncan), formerly of Jacksonville, Fla., were united in holy matrimony on June 21 at Knowles Chapel on the campus of Rollins College in Winterpark, Fla. The Rev. Peter Pierson officiated.

The bride wore an ivory satin strapless ball gown. Simple crystal and pearl beads adorned the sweetheart neckline and cascaded down the bodice. The front of the dress was smooth while the back consisted of small pick-ups from the waistline to the end of the chapel train. At the reception, the bride wore the dress in a traditional French bustle. The bride carried a bouquet of hydrangea and white roses dotted with crystals.

The maid of honor was Julie Strauss, niece of the bride. The bridesmaids were Cassandra Leroy, sorority sister, and Valerie and Aubrey Winship, sisters of the bridegroom.

The best man was Josh Heinz, a friend from high school. Groomsmen were Erik Engstrom, a friend from childhood, Andrew Small, college roommate, and Eli Green, a mutual friend of the couple.

The reception was at Church Street Station in Orlando, immediately following the wedding. Mr. and Mrs. Winship went on their honeymoon to a resort in St. Lucia.

Mrs. Winship is the daughter of Lois and Herbert Strauss of Norway and Estero, Fla. She graduated from Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School in 2003 and from Rollins College in 2007. She majored in elementary education and minored in theater. She is a second-grade teacher in Orlando, Fla.

Mr. Winship is the son of Gloria and Cameron Winship. He graduated from Jacksonville Episcopal High School in 2000 and from Rollins College in 2005. He majored in theater and minored in physics. He is a pyrotechnician with Disney World.

The couple is residing in Orlando, Fla.
