WOBURN, Mass. – The wedding of Sarah Smith and William F. Baker was held at 11:30 a.m. on March 24 at the Crestview in Woburn, Mass. Richard Griesel, notary public, officiated at the ceremony.
Mrs. Baker is the daughter of Jeanette Abshire of Warren and Herbert and Mary Maker of Owls Head. Mr. Baker is the son of Charles and Judith Baker of Woburn, Mass.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white satin gown with full skirt, short sleeves and beaded bodice. She carried a bouquet of red roses and baby’s breath.
Samara Adams, sister of the bride, attended as matron of honor, and bridesmaids were Kimberly Gagne and Jessie Harriman, friends of the bride. Ileana Adams, niece of the bride, was flower girl.
Serving as best man was David Carreiro, friend of the bridegroom, and ushers were Nathan Storer, Nik Biron, Rick Morris, Michael Dumas, Joshua Day and Cory Hoskins, friends of the bridegroom.
A reception followed at Crestview Functions in Woburn, Mass., after which the couple traveled to Italy for two weeks.
The bride is a 1996 graduate of Medomak Valley High School in Waldoboro and is employed at Central Maine Medical Center.
The bridegroom is a 2001 graduate of the University of New England, with a bachelor’s degree in athletic training. He is employed at Verizon Wireless in Augusta.
