LEWISTON — The Jesus Party urban youth outreach is announcing its fall program for inner-city youth. The ministry will begin it’s weekly services at 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 5, at the chapel, 291 Bates St.
Sheila Taylor, who is better known to the Jesus Party as “Nana Taylor,” will take over as Ministry Mentor to the children, filling the position of the late Jerry DerBoghosian.
The ministry recognizes the wisdom of elders and provides an opportunity for them to share their insight with the younger generation.
Taylor recently resigned as superintendent of Sunday School at the Augusta Apostolic Church and will continue to serve in children’s ministry through The Jesus Party.
The Jesus Party is a nonprofit faith-based organization and provides rides for children age 5 and older. For more information, call Rev. Douglas E. Taylor at 786-5568.
