JAY – The wedding of Amanda Lenna Young and Timothy Patrick Kane was held at 1 p.m. on May 28 at St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay.
Mrs. Kane is the daughter of Norman and Michelle Young of Dixfield. Mr. Kane is the son of Arthur and Sheila Kane of Wilton.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white satin gown with crystal beading and a flowing semi-Cathedral train. She carried a bouquet of Calla lilies and white and pink tulips.
The best friend of the bride, Jessica Martineau, was maid of honor, and bridesmaids were Amy Gallant and Jenna Lapointe, friends, and Julie Blais, aunt. Caitlin Kane and Chelsea Kane, nieces, were flower girls.
Fred Heath was best man for his best friend, and ushers were Gavin Kane and Michael Kane, brothers, Thomas Fifield, friend, and Craig Young, brother of the bride. Connor Kane, nephew, was ring bearer.
A reception followed at Murray Hall in Livermore Falls, after which the couple traveled to Virginia Beach, Va., and Ocean City, Md.
The bride is a graduate of Dirigo High School and the University of Maine at Farmington. She is employed at Seniors Plus in Wilton.
The bridegroom is a graduate of Mount Blue High School, the University of Maine at Farmington and is currently taking masters classes at Thomas College. He is employed at Bates College and Mount Blue High School.
