BETHEL – The wedding of Jill Ann Buckingham and Justin Miles Brown was held at 3 p.m. on Oct. 9 at the Grand Summit Resort Hotel at Sunday River. Joanne Kelcourse, justice of the peace and great-aunt of the bride, and Robert Brown, great-uncle of the bride, officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Brown is the daughter of Bruce and Bonnie Buckingham of Mexico. Mr. Brown is the son of John Brown and his wife, Patty, of Hartford, and Faye Bellefleur and husband, Bob, of Madison.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a silk gown fashioned with pearls, sequins and embroidery with fitted bodice, princess neckline and train. A pearl beaded tiara supported her two-tier pearl and beaded veil and she carried a bouquet of fall-colored roses.

Amy Buckingham, sister of the bride, was matron of honor and bridesmaids were Stephany Jacques, sister of the bridegroom, Jessica Brown, sister-in-law of the couple, and Michaela Madigan, friend of the bride. Sophia Jacques, niece of the couple, was the flower girl.

Jason Brown performed the duties of best man for his brother and ushers were Corey Jacques, brother-in-law of the bridegroom, and Peter Casey and Brian Cooper, friends of the bridegroom.

Michael Buckingham, uncle of the bride, was the guitarist and soloist.

A reception followed at Sunday River at the Grand Summit Resort Hotel, after which the couple traveled to Orlando, Fla. They are residing in Rumford.

The bride is a 1996 graduate of Mountain Valley High School and is employed at Richardson Hollow.

The bridegroom is a 1997 graduate of Buckfield High School and is employed as a patrol deputy for the Oxford County Sheriff’s Department.
