AUBURN – The wedding of Alyson Rachel Pontbriand and Craig Lee Farrington was held at 5 p.m. on July 11 at St. Louis Church. Deacon Dennis Mailhot officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Farrington is the daughter of Robert and Diana Pontbriand of Auburn. Mr. Farrington is the son of Randy and Sandra Farrington of Minot.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a sleeveless white satin gown with square neckline, A-line skirt and decorative beading on the bodice and the long train.

Erin Breau, sister of the bride, was matron of honor and bridesmaids were Sarah Embry, cousin of the bride, Kristine St. Pierre, Erin Goforth and Jessica Rankin, friends of the bride, and Chelsea Gagnon, cousin of the bridegroom. Kate Pontbriand, cousin of the bride, was the flower girl.

Serving as best men were Phil Marquis and Josh Paradis, friends of the bridegroom. Ushers were Matthew and Daniel Pontbriand, brothers of the bride, Jason Irwin, Chad Cote and Brian Beauparlant, friends of the bridegroom, and Scott Farrington, brother of the bridegroom. Jonah Farrington, brother of the bridegroom, was the ring bearer.

A reception followed at Lost Valley Lodge, after which the couple traveled to Ocho Rios, Jamaica. They are residing in Lewiston.

The bride is a graduate of Edward Little High School and received a bachelor’s degree in biology/chemistry at the University of Maine at Farmington. She is currently enrolled in a master’s program in immunology at the University of Southern Maine.

The bridegroom is a graduate of Edward Little High School and received an associate degree in mechanical engineering from Central Maine Technical College. He is an independent business owner.
