LEWISTON —The Center for Wisdom’s Women has announced activities for November.

At 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 4, join Cheryl and Nancy, who will lead “What’s Cookin’?”  They will make something with pasta. There will be a pumpkin soup and bread-making class at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 25.

Art and craft programs will include scrapbooking Wednesday, Nov. 12, and making dream-catchers on Tuesday, Nov. 18, both at 10 a.m. The Art Van will visit at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 26.

Thanksgiving card-making will take place at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 13, with a Zentangle (fancy doodling) session that afternoon at 12:30. Rebecca will teach beginner crochet at 12:30 p.m. Thursdays, Nov. 6 and 20. There is an opportunity to make Wisdom boxes and gratitude beads every Monday afternoon.

The Book Club will continue with a new little book soon to be made into a movie, “Hector’s Search for Happiness.” The group will meet at 12:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 17, with Ann Auer leading the discussion.

The weekly Writing Workshop with Pat Gardiner will continue at 10 a.m. Mondays. The monthly Playing with Poetry class offered by Kathryn Tracy is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 18.

Regular end-of-month activities include the women’s clothing give-away at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, and bingo at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 25,  followed by the November birthday party at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 26.

Friday mornings at 10:00 you can watch

A movie will be shown at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 7, board games on Friday, Nov. 14, and jokes and silly stories during “Laugh Out Loud / LOL” on Friday, Nov. 21.

Sonia will lead gentle stretching classes Wednesday mornings, Nov. 5 and 19.  Explore random acts of kindness at the “Pay It Forward” group at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 6.

Support for family caregivers is available on Tuesdays at 11:30 a.m., and a weekly Al-Anon group on Wednesdays at 5:30 p.m., and BLT group for Bisexual, Lesbian and Transgendered women and their friends or family at 3 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20.

A Peasant Pantry Café will be held just after November, on Monday, Dec. 1, and will feature the center’s annual post-Thanksgiving potluck. The menu will include a stuffing casserole with chicken sausage, veggies, cranberries, onions and spices, has become a tradition at the center.

Others are welcome to bring anything they wish to contribute to the meal. Call for a reservation. The event will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Donations to cover the cost are welcome.

Center hours are 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to noon Fridays. It will be closed on Nov. 11, Veterans Day, and Nov. 27 and 28, Thanksgiving. For a full calendar of events, visit www.wisdomswomen.org.
