WILTON — The Franklin County Soil & Water Conservation District will host a public meeting of the Franklin County USDA Local Work Group from 10 a.m. to noon on Monday, Nov. 17, at the Town Office on Route 156.
The work group will provide recommendations for 2015 and 2016 EQIP programs to their local USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service on local natural resource priorities and criteria for conservation activities and programs. Topics of discussion in Franklin County will include: ag waste, forestry, pastureland and cropland.
Other issues and areas of concern can be discussed as well, and a list will be compiled of priorities recognized by this group.
