A Lewiston bus run for high school students in the upper Main Street area has been pulled out of service because three seats were slashed Friday. Theresa Samson, manager of Hudson Bus Lines, said the run, which serves approximately 30 Lewiston High School students, will not resume until police find a culprit and restitution is made. The slashing occurred Friday afternoon during the week’s last run, at the very back of the bus, affecting seating for a maximum of 10 people. Samson said she is concerned about the safety of students on the bus “if there’s this kind of vicious behavior” occurring. She said that in surveying the bus Tuesday, she found a razor blade embedded in one of the slashed seats.
