LEWISTON – King’s Bridge Theatre will hold auditions for its production of C.S. Lewis’ timeless classic, “The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe,” a two-act play directed by KBT Artistic Director Robbi Starnegg.

Auditions will be held Friday and Saturday, Jan. 18-19, at the Vineyard Auditorium, 12 Foss Road. Times are 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, open auditions for all roles; 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, young people’s auditions for the roles of the four Pevensie children; 11 a.m. to noon Saturday, open auditions for all roles.

Call-backs will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday.

Those auditioning are asked to wear comfortable clothes and to allow about one hour for the audition process. Auditions will involve reading from the script as well as improvisation for some roles.

“The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe” will be presented March 28 to April 5.

The play revolves around four children who journey to the land of Narnia, where they meet the magical and mysterious Aslan. This story of love, faith, courage and giving – with good triumphing over evil – is a true celebration of life.

The cast includes Peter, 13-17 years of age; Susan, 12-16 years of age; Edmund, 10-15 years of age; Lucy, 9-13 years of age; Professor Kirk, a kindly English educator, age 50-65; Aslan, the great lion: age 30-50; the White Witch, Aslan’s evil adversary, age 30-50; Mr. Tumnus, a faun of Narnia: age 25-50; Mr. and Mrs. Beaver, brave supporters of Aslan, age 40-60; Maugrim, head of the Witch’s Secret Police, age 20-40; and White Stage, an elusive and mysterious resident of Narnia, age 15-35 (This is a male or female dance role.) Numerous other human and Narnian roles are available.
