FARMINGTON — On Monday, the final Blue Day Program Recognition of the year was held for students attending the Foster Career and Technical Education (CTE) Center on the Mt. Blue Campus.

Students from Rangeley Lakes, Spruce Mountain, and Mt. Blue learn about technical and skilled careers through a hands-on approach at Foster CTE Center. Each program selects a student to recognize for their accomplishments in that program at the end of the fall and spring semester. Some programs have the students vote for the candidate. Some students are selected by the instructor of the course.

Jon Ladd, a student from Spruce Mtn. in Forestry and Wood Harvesting, and Freeman Chick, a Mt. Blue student in the Metal Fabrication program, were also recognized for obtaining their Class A and Class B driving licenses through a truck driving program that is part of a cooperative agreement with Region 9 in Mexico.
