Final movie at Play Museum

WILTON — The Western Maine Play Museum Summer Movie Series will conclude with the showing of “Finding Nemo.” The movie will start at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 4, on the museum grounds, 561 Main St., Wilton (rain date, Sept. 5).

Admission is $4/individual, $10/family. Tickets may be purchased at the museum before the movie. Snacks, beverages, and day-glo fun jewelry will be available for purchase and bathroom facilities are on site. Organic insect repellent will be applied again at this showing, keeping bugs to a minimum. Parents are reminded that children must be accompanied by an adult.

Wilton Historical meeting Sept. 10

WILTON — The Wilton Historical Society will be holding its September meeting at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 10.

Lew Lyman of the Livermore Falls Historical Society will bring his collection of glass insulators.

Historical society to hear talk

WATERFORD — The Waterford Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 10, at the Wilkins Community House in Waterford Flat. The program will be on the history of the McWain neighborhood of East Waterford. David McWain was the first permanent settler of the town.

There is no admission and there will be potluck refreshments.

Storytellers to meet Sept. 10

FARMINGTON — The Western Order of Dedicated Storytellers will hold a special meeting to celebrate the organization’s fifth anniversary, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday Sept. 10, at the Farmington Public Library, Academy St. Farmington.

All who are interested in storytelling are welcome. Telling is optional.
