LEWISTON — L/A Arts, Arts & Culture Lewiston/Auburn and Reinholt Consulting are hosting an evening launch of their Cultural Plan L-A Initiative from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 5, at the Androscoggin Chamber of Commerce at 415 Lisbon St.

This convening of artists, cultural organizations, business owners, local officials and community leaders will focus on exploring the future of creativity, culture, economics and community in the Lewiston-Auburn region.

This will be an essential first step in a 12- to 18-month cultural planning process, and attendee insights and perspective will help determine how it unfolds.

The work is supported in part by the Maine Arts Commission’s Creative Communities = Economic Development Phase I grant, as well as the city of Lewiston.
