LEWISTON — The Union of Maine Visual Artists is looking for art in any medium to fit the themes of lust, passion, companionship and/or sweetness for their four – gallery exhibit celebrating four aspects of love. The themes are open to interpretation by the artist and can be depicted separately or in combination.

Please submit up to three images in JPG format with file name as title_artist_dimensions to [email protected]. Accepted work will be displayed for the month of Februrary, in one of four galleries. The opening reception will be 4 to 7 p.m., Saturday, Feb.13.  The exhibits will be free and open to the public.

Lust – The Studio, 291 Lisbon St. Lewiston

Passion – LA Arts, 221 Lisbon St. Lewiston

Companionship – Wicked Illustrations Studio and Gallery, 140 Canal St. Lewiston

Sweetness – The Hive at Warehouse 550 Adams Ave Lewiston

There is no submission fee. The deadline is Friday, Jan.  15. Submit early, as jurying will be done as each submission comes in.

Accepted work must be well presented and ready to display. Please wire all canvas and framed art. Saw-tooth and loop hole hanging mechanisms will not be accepted. Please provide secured podiums for sculpture and displays for jewelry.
