PORTLAND – South African singer Vusi Mahlasela will perform two sets of his music at the Center for Cultural Exchange on Wednesday, April 20 at 7:30 p.m.
With an enthralling voice and a passionate, engaging performance style, Vusi was a formidable voice against apartheid in South Africa. His performance at last summer’s Festival of Cultural Exchange was among the most talked about, affecting many audience members profoundly through the exchange of raw emotion, stories of South Africa’s brutal struggles and ultimately a sense of eternal hope.
Tickets are $16 in advance and $19 on the day of show, and can be purchased through our box office at 761-0591, online at www.centerforculturalexchange.org or at any Bull Moose Music.
