LEWISTON — The Holy Family Ladies of St. Anne recently honored Anita A. Grenier as Sodalist of the Year at a buffet dinner at the Green Ladle Cafe.
Anita Madore, last year’s Sodalist, passed on her crown to Grenier.
Grenier was a presented a plaque by the president of the Ladies of St. Anne, Yvette Michaud, and an appreciation gift from the sodality. Her husband presented her with a dozen roses and her family presented her with a gift of congratulations.
Grenier has been a Eucharistic Minister for shut-ins and has been devoted to her church, CCD, Girl Scouts, the Catholic Committee on Scouting and her community.
She was the recipient of the St. Anne Medal from the Diocesan Catholic Committee on Scouting, the highest honor received in the committee. She is also a volunteer at the D’Youville Pavilion. Active in many fundraisers for the sodality, she is always there to give a helping hand to her parish and her family and friends, members said.
Attending to help her celebrate were her husband, Paul; daughters, Doris Webb, Julie Laplante and husband Jason; and grandson, Xavier. Webb’s husband, Bill, and their two children, Isaac and Lian, were unable to attend.
Also attending were her parents, Cyrille and Emma Baillargeon; brothers, Richard Baillargeon and wife Connie, Leo Baillargeon and wife Gail; sisters, Rachel Desgrosseilliers and husband Harvey, Cecile Langlois and husband Andy; and many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law and nieces.
Many of the St. Anne Sodality members and their spouses were present.
