Lisbon Recreation theater camp

LISBON — Lisbon Recreation is bringing Children’s Stage Adventures of New Hampshire for a weeklong camp that will end with two performances.

Camp runs from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, Aug. 15 to 19, at the MTM Community Center.

Performances will be at 2 and 6 p.m. Aug. 19. They will on the MTM pavilion, weather-permitting. Children ranging from kindergarten throgh grade 12 are necessary.

Cost is $55 and includes a camp shirt.

AUBURN — The High Street Food Pantry is seeking donations of children’s books.

Donations may be brought to the Auburn United Methodist Church, at 439 Park Ave.

LEWISTON — The Lewiston Bridge Club winners at the Lewiston Armory on August 1 were, N/S first, Paul Clement and Roger Labbe; second, Jan and Vern Arey; third, Eileen Potvin and Della Starbird; E/W first, Nancy Farmer and Luke Merry; second, Susan and Andre L’Heureux; third/first in B Dick Allen and Richard Balian; fourth/second in B, Donna Bartlett and Claire Lyons.

Winners on August 2 were: first, Misha Tomic and Mike True; second/first in B, Cindy and Bob Kirchherr; third, Jeanine Kivus and Fred Letourneau; fourth/fifth tie, Luke Merry and Mike Quinn with Jan and Vern Arey.

Games are played on Mondays and Tuesdays at 9 a.m. in the Seniors’ Room at the Lewiston Armory, 65 Central Ave. A partner is always guaranteed and all social bridge players are invited.
