NORWAY – Norway Savings Bank announces that it has recently promoted Ray Charest to assistant vice president, network administrator. He is based out of the bank’s operations center in Norway.
Charest joined Norway Savings Bank in 2004 as an assistant network administrator, and has become an instrumental member of the IT network department. In the past four years he has researched and implemented many technology solutions that have created efficiencies within the department. He has also assumed more of the information and data security roles of the department during the past year. Charest played a major role in the coordination of the IT department’s relocation to the operations center earlier this year. He participates on bank’s committees, including as chairperson of the Intranet Committee.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in computer information systems from Elmira College in New York. He has also earned security certifications as a professional ethical hacker and a computer hacking forensic investigator from EC-Council, an organization that certifies individuals in various e-business and security skills.
