LEWISTON – Maine Businesses for Social Responsibility’s 2009 Leadership Series is partnering with Maine chambers of commerce to present “Social Responsibility is Smart Business.”

In the Lewiston-Auburn area, MEBSR and the Androscoggin County Chamber of Commerce will host a panel discussion, “Entrepreneurship and Social Responsibility: Partners in Prosperity,” on Feb. 24 from 4-6 p.m. at the chamber, 415 Lisbon St.

The discussion will examine ways entrepreneurs have utilized social responsibility as part of their business plan. Panelists will include Ian McMillan of Equal Exchange, Chris Roberts of Barkwheats Dog Biscuits, Heather Rideout of File-Busters, and Jim Murphy of Prehung Doors Inc.
