MEXICO — The Mexico Public Library will welcome autumn by hosting a fall movie series at 6 p.m. Mondays.

Movies are free and open to the public. Seating is limited. Outside food and drinks are not allowed, but concessions will be available for purchase between 5:45 and 7 p.m.

Children’s story time will return from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesdays, and includes readings, crafts and songs, and a healthy snack. Children between age 2 and 5 are welcome to attend with adult supervision.

The adult reading club, Book Café, holds meetings the first Wednesday of each month from 5:45 to 7 p.m. It’s always accepting new members. The club features a new book selection process.

Cowboy Bob and his magic pony Max will be at the library at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 23, for a special story time and meet-and-greet. Max isn’t for riding, but may give attendees a bit of his magic if they’re brave enough to pet him.

The library will have a table at the fifth annual Pumpkin Fest in Rumford on Saturday, Oct. 8. It will host a book sale and its annual holiday basket raffle fundraiser. “New” used books and DVDs will be for sale. Baskets will contain a variety of themes, and will be available for viewing and purchasing tickets at the library between Oct. 10 and Nov. 17. Winners will be drawn Nov. 18 and announced on Facebook.

The library is open until 8 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays, and has free internet access.
