AUBURN – Harriman, a full-service architecture and engineering firm with offices in Auburn and Portland, and Manchester, N.H., recently received an honor award from AIA Maine, the Maine chapter of the American Institute of Architects, for their design of the Maine Heart Surgical Associates office building in Portland.
The Maine Heart Surgical Associates office building became a third story of an existing two-story brick parking garage, providing administration space and three examination rooms for the seven surgeons and their support staff.
The 2008 Biennial Design Awards program was held in June at Bowdoin College, where five winning projects were presented awards. The jury of prominent architects selected winners from 38 entries.
Patrick Costin, principal-in-charge of the project at Harriman, was presented with the award.
