Homeschooling meet-up at APL
AUBURN — Area homeschoolers are invited to meet other homeschooling parents and their children from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesdays in the Maggie Trafton Program Room at the Auburn Public Library, 49 Spring St.
This informal group will be led by Christina Helms, a local homeschooling parent. This will be an opportunity for children to interact with other children and for parents to find support from each other.

Food pantry seeks donations
AUBURN — The High Street Congregational Church Food Pantry has ongoing needs for the following items: peanut butter, canned vegetables, soup, canned pasta, canned meats, canned fruit, dry cereal, baking items, soup, crackers and toilet paper.

Pinochle, pitch players welcome
LEWISTON — Pinochle and pitch card games for seniors are played weekly at the Lewiston Armory, 65 Central Ave.
Pitch is played at 1 p.m. on Tuesdays. Pinochle is at 1 p.m. on Thursdays. Refresher courses are available in both categories. New players are always welcome.
The armory is open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Players must become a member to participate.

IHM club Christmas Party
LEWISTON — The Immaculate Heart of Mary Golden Age Club Christmas party will be held Tuesday, Dec. 13, at Governor’s Restaurant on Lisbon Street.
The social hour will be held from 11 a.m. to noon, and then lunch will be served. Reservations and menu choices must be made by Dec. 1. Cost is $15 per person.
There will be a gift swap following lunch; the price limit is $10. Entertainment will be provided by Louis Philippe. Guests and new members are welcome.

First Saturday at the Williams House
WAYNE — First Saturday at the Williams House will be from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Dec. 3, at 14 Old Winthrop Road.
Included will be a book sale, a boutique and breakfast.

Christmas tree sale to benefit Rotary
LEWISTON — The Auburn-Lewiston Breakfast Rotary Club will hold its 10th annual Christmas Tree Sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, at 21 Fireslate Place.
Visitors can cut their own Christmas tree, have their picture taken with Santa Claus in his giant chair, make crafts, enter raffles and enjoy refreshments. Kindling seconds will also be available to purchase.
All donations support local charitable causes supported by the club.

LEWISTON — The Lewiston Bridge Club winners on Nov. 21 were, first, Jeanine Kivus and Mike Quinn; second, Nancy Farmer and Luke Merry; third, Roger Labbe and Paul Sherman; and first/second tie in B, Barbara Red and Jim Krainin with Donna Bartlett and Claire Lyons.
Winners on Nov. 22, were, first, Patricia Quinn and Roger Labbe; second, Luke Merry and Mike Quinn; and third, Nancy Farmer and Paul Clement.
Games are played at 9 a.m. on Mondays and Tuesdays in the Seniors’ Room at the Lewiston Armory, 65 Central Ave. A partner is guaranteed and all bridge players are welcome.
