My, how the shopping landscape’s changed over the last five years in Lewiston-Auburn. But is it still too little? Too much? Too late?
We’d like to hear from you in advance of our annual look at retail in the Twin Cities. Shoppers, be heard! Answer any or all of the questions below, clip and mail, or go to sunjournal.com, look for our “Hey Shoppers!” survey and fill it out online. On Sunday, Dec. 9, we’ll tell you what everyone else had to say.
1. Are you shopping in Lewiston and Auburn more now than 5 years ago?
a) Absolutely
b) Somewhat
c) Not at all
2. How do you feel about the retail developments of the last few years?
a) Love it. Keep it up!
b) Happy, but any more and we’ll be saturated, so let’s ease off a bit.
c) Unhappy. We do not need more options to buy socks and DVDs.
d) Irritated. We don’t need big boxes; it’s buy-local for me.
3. Think the proposed Wal-Mart Supercenter and a host of other developments at Lewiston’s Exit 80 will ever happen?
a) Yes
b) No
c) Hope so, but have my doubts.
d) Hope not.
4. Auburn’s new roundabouts:
a) The agony!
b) What’s the big deal?
c) If this is progress, fine.
5. Still pining for Olive Garden?
a) Yes, now, please!
b) Sure, but reality is setting in and that’s diminished desire a bit.
c) Ehhh, if they were here I might eat a breadstick once in a while.
d) Pshh. No way. Forget it. Their loss.
